The city covers a total of 19.5 square miles with 0.08% of it only water. The city is also a part of Pleasant Valley. It is located between Oxnard and Thousand Oaks. In the summer, the area is warm and dry.

Camarillo Premium Outlets
The Camarillo Premium outlets is one of California’s largest outlet malls. These outlets were build around the mid 1990’s. These outlets are located near the 101 freeway and west of Carmen Drive. The retail stores have brought a large amount of money to the city of Camarillo. They opened up a new center called the Promenade. This center added about 45 new store which brought the total to 160 stores and restaurants. The outlets are definitely a great place to visit, eat and shop at. There are so many options to choose from it can seem overwhelming.
Camarillo Airport and Transportation
Established in 1942, the Camarillo Airport is a public airport that has one runway. This airport exclusively is for general aviation or executive aircraft. There are no scheduled commercial services. It was originally developed for the Oxnard Air Forces with an 8,000 foot runway. The runway was extended to more to accommodate a jet fighter aircraft such as the McDonnell or Northrop. The airport was later transferred to the Ventura County with approval from the Department of Defense.
There is one train station in Camarillo which extends from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. The metro link runs only at peak hours with about 3 morning departures and 3 evening arrivals.
